Deze toekomstbestendige hightech apparatuur is gericht op duurzaamheid, digitalisering, gezondheid en de technologie-soevereiniteit van Nederland. Voor het publiek-private onderzoek is in totaal 10,6 miljoen euro beschikbaar.

SUL-238: Een baanbrekend ‘first-in-class’ geneesmiddel tegen mitochondriële dysfunctie bij meerdere chronische aandoeningen
De afgelopen weken zijn de eerste doseringen van SUL-238 toegediend aan gezonde vrijwilligers in een Fase I-studie. Dit is een belangrijke mijlpaal in de klinische ontwikkeling van dit nieuwe, 'first-in-class' geneesmiddel met potentiële toepassingen in Alzheimer, hartfalen, chronisch nierfalen, pulmonale arteriële hypertensie, chronische obstructieve longziekte (COPD), acute nierschade en sepsis. SUL-238 heeft een werkingsmechanisme in de mitochondriën om de energiebalans weer in evenwicht te brengen, wat nieuw is.

Ben je 45 jaar of ouder? Dan ben je van harte welkom om mee te doen aan het ABOARD-cohort. Deelnemers krijgen eens per jaar een vragenlijst over gezondheid, leefstijl en zorggebruik. De antwoorden worden gebruikt voor onderzoek naar gezonde veroudering én Alzheimer.
